The Masked Singer is a fun test for singers of all kinds, but it was revealed on the latest episode of the hit series that Ginuwine will not be taking the crown this season.

The singer—whose costume was the Husky—was eliminated on Wednesday (Dec. 6), but he enjoyed himself nonetheless.

“Some of the best fun ever HOTT a** costume but fun nonetheless. It was me behind the #HuskyMask!,” wrote the R&B crooner on Instagram, along with a clip of the reveal.

He continued, “#TheMaskedSinger had an amazing time glad I came out of my shell and did something different for a change and overcame another fear. Blessings to y’all for watching and please continue, it’s an amazing show; thanks for the love.”

During the actual reveal, Ginuwine explained that he didn’t have a real reason as to why he chose to do The Masked Singer. He joked that he thought he’d never do the show, but then stated, “The opportunity presented itself and I was like, ‘Aight.'”

Before walking off the stage, he did an impromptu performance of his hit record, “Pony.”

Ginuwine has joined the long line of illustrious talent to grace The Masked Singer stage including Gladys Knight, Bow Wow, Wiz Khalifa, JoJo, Raven-Symone, Tori Kelly, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Michelle Williams, Tyrese, Omarion, Toni Braxton, and Bobby Brown plus previous winners, T-Pain (Season 1), Wayne Brady (Season 2), Kandi Burruss (Season 3), Teyana Taylor (Season 7), and Amber Riley (Season 8).

Many predict that Ne-Yo and Keyshia Cole are among the talent that has yet to be revealed on season 10 of The Masked Singer, but you’ll have to wait and see. Check out one of Ginuwine’s performances from the season—a cover of Rick James’ “Super Freak”— below.
