Ginuwine might create baby-making music, but that's not what he wants to hear in the bedroom.

The "Pony" singer opened up to Shirley Ju in a TMZ interview that touched on the sexual nature of Ginuwine's catalog, with the reporter asking him, "Do you make love to your own music?"

"No," responded the Grammy-nominated musician, 53, with a laugh. "Absolutely not."

He did, however, then clarify what music he does like hearing during intimate moments with a romantic partner. "I like old-school stuff. Marvin Gaye, ‘What’s Going On,'" said Ginuwine. "I play Jodeci too."

In 1996, the R&B star rose to fame with his sexually charged single "Pony," which features the lyrics: "If you're horny, let's do it / Ride it, my pony / My saddle's waitin' / Come and jump on it."

Elsewhere in the interview, Ju asked Ginuwine the number of partners who had sex with him as a result of the raunchy song's success. "I don’t remember. I’m a good boy now," he quipped. "Back in the day, I was a little crazy, but right now I don’t remember. That was 27 years ago."

Last month, the performer was unmasked as Husky on The Masked Singer and spoke to PEOPLE about his experience on the hit reality singing competition series. “At first, I didn't really want to do it,” admitted Ginuwine at the time.

He continued, “I'm pretty much a reserved person. I'm not a TV guy or nothing, but I wanted to come out my comfort zone. It took a little bit of persuasion, but I said, ‘You got to do it for yourself and come out of your comfort zone. You got to live a little,’ so I decided to do it.”

Ginuwine also opened up at the time about his notable mention in Britney Spears' recent memoir The Woman in Me, in which she claimed Justin Timberlake put on a blaccent while meeting him. "I truly don't remember that happening," he told PEOPLE.

"If Justin would've did something like that, I probably would've looked at him like, "Why are you acting like that?" If he did that, that would be something that I would remember. That would've definitely stuck out. So nah, I don't remember that happening," added Ginuwine.
