The wait is (almost) over, Ginny & Georgia fans: The Netflix dramedy has started production on Season 3.

The show marked the first day of filming by releasing several behind-the-scenes photos of the cast — including leads Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry — smiling wide at what appears to be a table read. “HERE WE GO,” reads the X caption. “Ginny and Georgia Season 3 is now in production!”

On Instagram, a behind-the-scenes account run by Ginny & Georgia creator/executive producer Sarah Lampert offered a few more shots.

Meanwhile, Howey posted some photos of her own, also on Instagram. “Let the games begin! 🍑🍑🍑 season 3 LETS GO #ginnyandgeorgia,” she wrote.

In May 2023, Ginny & Georgia was renewed for Seasons 3 and 4. At that time, Netflix also announced that Sarah Glinski (Degrassi: Next Class) would take over as showrunner, replacing Debra J. Fisher.

At the end of Season 2, Lampert told TVLine: “Plot-wise, we are laying seeds that you won’t realize were laid until we get a Season 3, and if we’re able to tell the story we want to tell, it will all make sense. And everything will come back around in a way that you were not expecting.”
