Gigi Hadid's Blossoming Romance With Bradley Cooper Has This Unexpected Supporter

It can be tough when a former romantic partner moves on, but it seems that Gigi Hadid is getting some unexpected support when it comes to her blossoming relationship with Bradley Cooper. The 29-year-old supermodel’s ex-boyfriend, and father to her daughter, Khai, 3, Zayn Malik is reportedly giving the 49-year-old actor his stamp of approval.
“He’s completely supportive,” an Us Weekly insider shared. “They went through a rough patch but have both matured and are focusing on their 3-year-old daughter [Khai]. It’s important to them that she grows up in a stable environment.” That amicable co-parenting situation wasn’t always their reality. Hadid and Malik’s relationship ended abruptly in October 2021 when it was revealed that the One Direction singer had an alleged physical fight with her mom, Yolanda Foster. The altercation resulted in Malik being charged with four charges of harassment, he pleaded no contest and denied the claims made by the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

“I knew what happened, and the people involved knew what happened too,” he explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast in July 2023. “I just wasn’t trying to get into a negative back and forth with her [or] any sort of narrative online where my daughter was going to look back and read that.” It seems that the 31-year-old singer has also done an about-face when it comes to his ex and Cooper because just a few months ago, a second Us Weekly source revealed that he was “not happy with their relationship and never will be.” We are here for the growth!!
Despite a 20-year age gap, Hadid and Cooper are at a similar stage of life when it comes to parenting. “They’re both single parents to a young daughter, and they share a similar sense of humor,” a third source told the media outlet in October 2023 when the couple was first spotted together. “It’s still far too early to know where things might be headed. Things aren’t that serious right now; the attraction is there.”
As they get closer to their one-year anniversary, it’s clear that Hadid and Cooper are serious. (And a recent couples’ getaway with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift is a bonus!) For Hadid, getting the thumbs up from Malik likely makes it easier for their friendly custody agreement and for their daughter in the long run.
