Are Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik Getting Back Together? A Look At Their Relationship
Though they split almost a year ago, breaking the hearts of (did they ever have a combined couple name?) fans everywhere, it appears Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik may be getting back together, or that they're at least back in touch.
Gigi recently posted an Instagram story, showing that she was making a pasta salad recipe she got from Zayn's mom Trisha, and even tagged her in it.
Well, sometimes when you date someone for a long time, it's hard to cut ties with their family as well.

Does this mean Gigi and Zayn and back together? Are they just friends, but maybe on the way to something more? Is Gigi just really good friends with Zayn's mom still? We need answers!
Trisha Malik even sent some love back to Gigi by reposting the story, and sharing a screenshot of the model claiming in a video that her favorite food was her "boyfriend's mum's kitchen."
Fans went crazy on Twitter with speculation, unsure of what the exchange actually meant, and whether or not Zayn and Gigi were in fact back together.
The Former Couple Were Supposedly Back In Touch In November
Rumors were already in overdrive in November when it was speculated that the two had reconnected after Gigi's split with The Bachelorette's Tyler Cameron.
However, a source told E! News, "Gigi has always had a soft spot for Zayn and they have a lot of history together. They are definitely not getting back together but are on good terms right now."
The source continued, "They went through a phase where they took time apart and weren't communicating at all, but they have been in touch recently. She is supportive of him. They chat here and there but it's been casual."
Perhaps after a couple months, the casual chat has turned into something more serious?
They Confirmed Their Relationship In 2016
Paparazzi spotted the two back in November 2015 holding hands, which sent the rumor mill spinning. Of course, when Gigi appeared in Zayn's steamy music video for his song "Pillow Talk," it was obvious there was more than just friendly chemistry between the pair.
By spring of 2016, the couple appeared to confirm the rumors of a relationship when they attended the MET Gala together, and a magazine spread came out in Vogue referring to Zayn as Gigi's "real life boyfriend."
They Split For Good In January 2019
Despite over a year of posting lovey-dovey photos of each other on Instagram, clearly looking like a strong, serious couple, the two split in March 2018.
Zayn confirmed this in an Instagram post, however, the couple was still seen together just weeks later. Clearly, the definition of an on-again, off-again relationship.
However, at the beginning of 2019, it appears they officially split, with a source telling E! News, "They are in different points in their lives right now and decided they needed the time to breathe apart from each other."
Perhaps they've had gotten enough space now, and things are back on track? We'll have to keep our eyes open!
