Gigi Hadid Breaks Silence On Hamas Attack, Condemns ‘Terrorizing Of Innocent People’

Supermodel Gigi Hadid has finally broken her silence on the devastating attack by Hamas on Israel, which has led to the death of several Israelis and Palestinians.

The supermodel posted her statement on Instagram and, Gigi, whose father, Mohammed Hadid, is of Palestinian origin, bore her soul by acknowledging, first and foremost, the "unjustifiable tragedy" that has happened. 

She noted that while she has deep "empathy and heartbreak" for Palestinians, she still owes it to her Jewish friends to make it clear where she stands.

Gigi, who is known for being pro-Palestine along with her sister, Bella, posted a lengthy message making it clear that the "Free Palestine Movement" does not benefit from the terrorizing of "innocent people."

"My thoughts are with all those affected by this unjustifiable tragedy and every day that innocent lives are taken by this conflict - too many of which are children. I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation, it's a responsibility I hold daily," Gigi began. " I also feel a responsibility to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have before: While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person."

She continued, "The terrorizing of innocent people is not in alignment with & does not do any good for the 'Free Palestine' movement. The idea that it does has fueled a painful, decades-long cycle of back & forth retaliation (which no innocent civilian, Palestinian or Israeli, deserves to be a casualty of) and helps perpetuate the false idea that being Pro-Palestine = antisemitic."

Gigi then stated, "If you are hurting as I share my condolences today with my loved ones, both Palestinian and Jewish, I'm sending you my love and strength - whoever and wherever you are."

The Victoria's Secret model concluded her post by noting, "There are a lot of complex, personal, and valid feelings, but every human deserves basic rights, treatment, and security; no matter their nationality, religion, ethnicity or where they were born. I know my words will never be enough or heal the deep wounds of so many, but I pray for the safety of innocent lives, always."

As we reported, news has surfaced claiming Hamas murdered 40 babies in the attack, and up to 14 Americans have been killed.

Bella Hadid Is Yet To Speak On The Hamas Attack

Gigi Hadid's younger sister, Bella, is a more vocal supporter of the Pro-Palestinian movement, and she has spoken out several times about how her views have cost her several deals and made her lose jobs.

During a chat on the "For The Rep" podcast in 2022, Bella shared, "I had so many companies that stopped working with me. I have friends that completely dropped me."

The supermodel admitted that she feels "anxiety" about doing "the right thing" but noted that she has good enough knowledge and personal experience on the issue to stand by her beliefs.

"I know my family enough; I know my own history enough. And that should be enough," Bella stated on the podcast.

The supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi, along with singer Dua Lipa, came under heavy scrutiny for their pro-Palestine stance in 2021, which led to a full-page ad in the New York Times accusing them of "anti-semitism."

In her interview with "For The Rep," Bella said, "When I speak about Palestine, I get labeled as something that I'm not. But I can speak about the same thing that's happening there, happening somewhere else in the world, and that's honorable. So, what's the difference?"
