Giants reinstate suspended Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie after one week

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie‘s “indefinite” team suspension lasted six days, as the New York Giants announced on Tuesday that they have reinstated the cornerback.

The suspension began last Wednesday, after Rodgers-Cromartie left the team facility. He reportedly had an “altercation” with the coaching staff after expressing a desire to play more outside corner instead of in the slot.

Rodgers-Cromartie met with head coach Ben McAdoo at the team facility on Tuesday morning, and was reinstated after the meeting.

The 10th-year veteran, who is in his fourth season with the Giants, has been starting at one of the outside corner spots and then kicking inside. He’s been credited with 26 total tackles and a half-sack.

Without Rodgers-Cromartie, the Giants, who went into Denver for a Sunday night matchup at 0-5, surprisingly beat the Broncos, 23-10. Cornerback Janoris Jenkins had a pick-six, and safety Landon Collins also had an interception in the win.
