Giancarlo Stanton's latest home run nearly destroyed a camera
Giancarlo Stanton continued mashing baseballs on Monday night, launching his league-leading 53rd home run in the Marlins 7-2 loss to the Nationals.
The home run was No. 27 for Stanton since the All-Star break, and it did some pretty serious damage, denting and nearly disabling a camera positioned just beyond the fence in right field.

Stanton’s fifth-inning solo blast missed the lens but left a baseball-sized crater that had the Marlins announcers astounded.
It also temporarily knocked the expensive camera out of commission.

Fortunately, a crew of very smart technicians were able to rebuild it and get it functioning again.

This just proves again that no person or object is safe from the wrath of Giancarlo Stanton. When he gets on a roll like he’s been on the last six weeks, your best move is to bail and bail quickly when he hits a baseball in your general direction.
