Sony released the latest trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters installment that recalls the events of the original movie with the surprise return of EPA inspector Walter Peck (William Atherton), who looks to make trouble for the new team. Meanwhile, an ancient supernatural entity with the “power to kill by fear itself” gets awakened by the new franchise scientist character Lars Pinfield (James Acaster).
In addition to the return of the legacy Ghostbusters cast, the trailer gives a first glimpse of Annie Potts’ Janine Melnitz suiting up in the Ghostbusters uniform for the first time as well as the returns of the Librarian Ghost from the original movie, the Mini-Puffs, and fan favorite Slimer who was left out of Afterlife in favor of the Muncher ghost voiced by Josh Gad.
