Back in April, former General Hospital actress Haley Pullos was sentenced to 90 days in prison after being charged with a DUI after getting into a car crash that injured another driver last year. Her GH mom, Nancy Lee Grahn, hasn’t been quiet about her disappointment with Pullos nor with her sentence, and she spoke out on X (formerly Twitter) about Pullos’ prison experience.

Solitary Confinement

Grahn took to X with a series of posts to inform her followers she had spoken to Pullos since she entered prison.

“For those who wished for Haley to be punished with no exceptional treatment, u’ll [sic] be relieved to know that she’s in max security solitary confinement along side [sic] hardened criminals. She’s isolated except for 1 hr a day where she has phone privileges.. today with me…”

“I couldn’t have been more impressed by her strength, her resolve, her accountability,” Grahn continued in her next post. “I am so incredibly proud of her,” she said before saying the guards and deputies at the prison couldn’t have been nicer.

Fact-Checking

Grahn followed up with several posts defending her GH daughter from the media reports of the accident.

“Id [sic] also like to add that much of what you read about her was not true. She’s always been respectful, an A student, never got into a lick of trouble ever & made a terrible terrible mistake 1 night.”

Grahn explained that Pullos voluntarily went into rehab for her injuries, not for it being a reported “country club.” The actress also commented on the $400 shirt that outlets reported Pullos had complained about the rescue team mishandling while helping her out of the wreckage. “The narrative that she was a spoiled brat mouthing off to police was meant to get clicks.”

Grahn also called out the media for falsely reporting about the accident in an attempt to get clicks.

“She hit a car which immediately [sic] made her hit another. Horrendous enough without making it seem like she hit a car, and then the entitled celeb intentionally, willfully, ran off & then hit another… was intentionally reported falsely to rile you 4 [sic] clicks.”

“What’s true is Haley drank excessively and got in a car,” Grahn said in her final post. “She is paying for that while at the same time assisting her victim in getting as much compensation as possible. Thank God all party’s [sic] have and will survive.”

Aside from 90 days in prison, Pullos will also serve five years probation, 200 hours of community service, and pay restitution to the other driver involved in the crash. Pullos’ GH character, Molly, had three different recasts in 2023, finally settling on Kristen Vaganos, who has held the role since September.
