Many dogs have weird habits – especially this white German shepherd, who has his own way of walking through doorways at his home in Austin, Texas, video recorded on August 27 shows.
Footage captured by owner Madeleine Fonteneau shows 8-year-old Jackson turning around so he can walk backwards into the room.
Speaking to Storyful, Fonteneau said Jackson “walks through most doors backward, but not all the time.” When she adopted the dog from an ex-boyfriend earlier this year, Jackson had a “bad hip,” Fonteneau said, and he was spending a lot of time in “a dark apartment.”
“Now, just a few months later, he’s really come out of his shell! We go hiking all the time, and we’re currently on our first road trip! It’s been great getting to see his personality shine,” Fonteneau said.
Jackson loves to bury his head in blankets and he can put Fonteneau’s other dog’s “whole head in his mouth.” However, Jackson gets scared when it’s time to enter a car, according to his owner.
“He’s an incredible boy, and I feel really lucky to spend my life with this handsome weirdo!” Fonteneau added. Credit: Madeleine Fonteneau via Storyful
