Legendary German electro-pop band Kraftwerk will perform their only concert in Germany this year in the baroque Semper Opera House in the eastern city of Dresden on September 14.

The show continues Kraftwerk's series of multi-media concerts at historic locations, according to concert organizer FKP Scorpio on Wednesday.

The band has previously performed in front of the Karlsruhe Palace and at the Acropolis in Athens. Another concert is also planned for Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna at the beginning of July.

Kraftwerk emerged in 1970 from the experimental art scene in the western German city of Dusseldrof. The band's pioneering approach and style have been extremely influential, helping shape modern genres such as synth pop, techno and minimal music.

Well-known Kraftwerk songs include "Computer Liebe", "Mensch-Maschine" and "Autobahn."
