Blues rock singer and guitarist George Thorogood recorded Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love?'' with the Delaware Destroyers for their second album "Move It on Over,'' in 1978.

Based on the reaction among our readers to the news earlier this year that the Brandywine Hundred rocker, 73, was forced to cancel tour dates to attend to a serious health issue, fans truly love George Thorogood.

So it's nice to hear that Thorogood, 73, is back and in good enough shape to perform two gigs next month in Ocean City, New Jersey.

Two weeks before he was to start the next leg of his 50th anniversary tour, the "Bad to the Bone" hitmaker announced he was pulling the plug after being "diagnosed with a very serious medical condition."

A statement posted to his website went on to say the diagnosis forced Thorogood to have "immediate surgery," which was to be followed by "quite a few weeks of recuperation and healing."

The specific medical issue causing the surgery and concert cancellations was not revealed by his management when contacted by Delaware Online/The News Journal.

“He and the Destroyers will hit the road in July leading into the 50th anniversary of their very first tour,” they wrote.
