George Sampson reveals he still gets flirty messages from teen fans, over a decade after 'BGT' win

Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson says he still gets messages from teenage fans and has to remind them he's far too old for them now.
Sampson was just 14 years old when he won the ITV competition in 2008, but is now 27 and still fielding messages from young fans who seem to think he's their age.

"People still think I’m a teenager when they meet me," he told The Mirror. "I get patronised when I’m spoken to a lot of the time."
He added: "It’s like people only relate to me as a little kid. Young girls still talk to me on TikTok like a young lad too — people just don’t get that I’m all grown up.
"Girls hit on me all the time online and I have to tell them: 'you’re too young for me'."

Sampson said he's in a happy relationship with his current partner Kazmin, who he has been dating for a year after they met while on tour with a musical.
He added: "One day I’ll be settling down and getting married — or turning 30 in a few years' time. I don’t know what people will make of that."

Since winning Britain's Got Talent, Sampson has embarked on an acting career, appearing on the stage in shows like Everybody's Talking About Jamie.
He has also taken on a variety of TV roles, including a recurring turn in Emmerdale and portraying troubled teenager Kyle Stack in the BBC's classroom drama Waterloo Road.
In 2019, he returned to the BGT stage for an appearance in Britain's Got Talent: The Champions.
Sampson said he's now taking his chance to return to talent shows on the other side of the judging table.
He is due to be one of the expert panellists on the upcoming Amazon Prime series Now That's Entertainment, which is returning for a second run with some star power on the judging panel.
Sampson will be joined by fellow BGT winner Richard Jones — a magician — and X Factor champion Sam Bailey.

He said: "I’ll be the dance judge and I’m looking for something very special from the contestants.
"Energy in an act is everything, so I’m looking for dancers that give the full 100%."
