“Game of Thrones” creator George R.R. Martin is already an icon, but his latest tweet is good enough to make him meme-worthy.
“So my publishers say I have to start trying to appeal to a younger audience…,” Martin tweeted on Tuesday. The image he sent along with it is his latest masterpiece:

That screenshot of GRRM in a half-cocked baseball cap, gesturing while saying everyone’s favorite ’90s catch phrase, deserves to be as shared, scrutinized and exalted as much as your typical episode of “Game of Thrones.”

It’s kind of legendary.
Although for as fun as this is, many of his fans still can’t resist pressing him for Book 6 in the “Game of Thrones” series, “The Winds of Winter.”

The last time Martin “connected” with his younger fans, he offered up a choice four-letter word to those who felt he would die before finishing the next book. He also promised back in January that we might see it sometime this year.

Martin also took to Twitter later in the day to comment on the controversy surrounding United Airlines, tweeting “Shame On You, United” before writing a brief blog post on his Live Journal.
“Game of Thrones” returns to HBO on July 16.
