If you want to approach George Lopez for a picture, it’s probably best your opening line has nothing to do with MAGA. The actor and political activist got into a scuffle with a patron at Hooters on Sunday, although the story of how it went down differs depending on who you ask.

TMZ has video from a man filming his “boy, George” on the way out of the New Mexico restaurant. Clearly, Lopez was already perturbed at the guy because the actor asks him if he’s trying to start “some more bull****t.” Lopez tries to grab the phone out of the guy’s hand who gleefully yells, “Look at him! He wants to fight me! George wants to fight me!” TMZ reports Lopez also grabbed the back of the guy’s neck.

A source close to Lopez tells the outlet the comedian snapped because the guy had been in his face all night yelling things like, “Make America Great Again!” The Lopez star is well-known for his anti-Trump stance.

However, the diner tells TMZ he was simply kidding around with the pro-Trump rhetoric and that he only approached Lopez once for a photo. He claims that when he went to the actor’s table, Lopez grabbed the phone and pretended to film his own crotch before giving the phone back. Trying to diffuse the situation, the guy asserts he tried to make Lopez smile by saying, “On the count of three say ‘Make America Great Again!'” The patron claimed it was all in good fun — and that he’s a Democrat.

Yahoo Entertainment reached out to a rep for Lopez, but did not immediately receive a response.

Lopez does not hide his disdain for the president. In July, he pretended to urinate on Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star. In 2016, he shared a photo of Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán holding Trump’s detached head.
