George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, more to play themselves in Sofia Coppola Christmas project

Sofia Coppola and Bill Murray will be spending the holidays with George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Amy Poehler, and Maya Rudolph, who have been listed as cast members in the Coppola-directed 2015 Christmas project, EW has confirmed.

The story follows Murray, the notoriously agent- and manager-less actor, as he evades the attempts of a shark dying to sign him. Like Murray, the group will be playing themselves and some even singing a carol or two.

The special will also include a cameo by the famous maître d’ of the Tower Bar, Dmitri Dmitrov, who will play Murray’s valet.

The idea for the project was conceived by producer Mitch Glazer (Lost in Translation), Murray, and Coppola. All three co-wrote the script and produced.

The project has not closed a distribution deal yet.
