Watch: Cambridge 'gang' ready for first day of school
Photos of Kate and William's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, have been released ahead of the trio's first full day at Lambrook School in Berkshire.
The images were taken today while the children arrived with their parents for a 90-minute settling in afternoon.
In the pictures, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are seen arriving at the school with their three children in tow. Others see them meeting their new headmaster, Jonathan Perry.
Perry greeted each of his royal pupils in turn, shaking their hands and asked them if they're excited for the year ahead. All three said "yes" in response.
William called his children "the gang" as he steered them up the school steps.
The children wore their school uniforms for the afternoon out: a checked, short-sleeved shirt with navy shorts for the boys and a blue gingham belted dress for Charlotte.
Kate wore a rust-coloured polka dot ensemble and William a navy suit.
George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and Louis, four, all begin at the school, near Ascot, tomorrow. George will be joining Year 5 and Charlotte will go into Year 3. Louis will be starting school and so will be in Reception.
The siblings' new school start follows a family move to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate. The Cambridges will retain Kensington Palace as their London residence and continuing to use Anmer Hall in Norfolk as another family home.
George and Charlotte left Thomas's School in Battersea, south London, at the end of the last school year. Louis previously attended Willcocks Nursery School in London.
On its website, Lambrook states it is a "thriving independent school which is home to 620 boys and girls".
The school, set in 52 acres of countryside, opened in 1860 and says it's proud of its "high academic standards, excellent facilities and sporting provision".
Pupils have access to a 25-metre swimming pool, hard Courts, a performing arts studio, sports hall and dance studio. There's also a nine hole golf course.
As you might expect, attendance isn't cheap. The pre-preparatory school starts at £2,195 per term, for morning sessions at nursery and rises to £4,389 per term for full-time nursery places, reception, year 1 and year 2.
Meanwhile the preparatory school costs from £6,448 for years 3 and 4 and increases to £6,999 for years 5-8.
Using the 2021/22 term fees as a guide - and assuming the fees have risen this school year - the Cambridges will be paying in excess of £51,855 a year for their three children to attend.
