General Grievous Returns in New Clip from Tales Of The Empire
A combat-filled clip from Tales Of The Empire shows General Grievous in action.
Posted on the official Star Wars Twitter account, the footage features a prime Grievous in peak fighting form. No talking, no coughing, just violence.
He’s wielding two lightsabers as he engages with a Dathomiri Clan. Those lightsabers are mismatched blue and green colors because, true to form, they aren’t his - he took them from the Jedi he’s defeated.
At one point Grievous even unleashes the furious spinning move he debuted against Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, laughing mercilessly as he approaches his foe like a glowing neon buzzsaw.
The Dathomiri Clan aren’t slouches, though. One wields a pair of scythes imbued with magical powers after buffing them with an incantation. Fighters behind her, meanwhile, unleash flaming purple arrows with powerful bows.
Tales Of The Empire is a six-part animated anthology telling stories from the darker side of the Force. It releases May 4 on Disney+.
Make sure to watch the trailer as Tales Of The Empire unites the most powerful Star Wars villains.
