KISS are in the final weeks of their “End of the Road” farewell tour. Although the band as we know it will be calling it quits after that last show on December 2nd at Madison Square Garden, KISS as a brand will live on.

In a new interview, Gene Simmons shared insight on the future plans for KISS beyond the farewell tour. As has always been the case with the iconic rock group, the KISS enterprise will continue to extend far beyond mere records and concerts. A cruise, a previously announced Netflix biopic, a cartoon show, and live-action performances are all in the works, according to Simmons.

“This tour is the end of the road for the band, not the brand,” Simmons told 519 magazine. “KISS is a universe of its own — movies, merchandise, maybe even Broadway. The band will end, but the KISS experience… it’s immortal.”

In other words, Simmons added, “It’s the end of touring” for the current lineup featuring Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer.

“KISS will continue,” Simmmons said. “There’s a KISS museum in Las Vegas at the Rio called KISS World, and oh my goodness, we have KISS cruises, a movie coming out, and we’re working on a cartoon show, a lot of stuff. And of course, all the fun toys and games that will continue.”

Previously, Simmons hinted that KISS could go on with new members “sticking the makeup back on.” It appears that’s in the cards, with Simmons revealing plans for a Vegas-style KISS act in various locales, with others assuming the roles of the Starchild, the Demon, the Spaceman, and the Catman.

“The KISS show will live on in different ways,” Gene said. “Yes, that’s being planned. It’ll also be four to ten different traveling shows. So, you’ll be able to be in Japan and have Japanese actors, musicians being us, and at the same time you could go to Vegas or New York or London.”

KISS’ farewell tour continues Wednesday night (November 15th) in Winnipeg, and you can get tickets to the band’s final shows here.
