Five years on from Natalie Portman's unforgettable performance in Jackie, a new movie about the life of Jackie Kennedy is on the way. This time, Gemma Arterton will be tackling the lead role.

Titled 37 Heavens, the movie is set four years after the assassination of JFK. It focuses specifically on the much-speculated-about relationship between Kennedy and the British diplomat Lord David Harlech, who will be played by Guy Pearce. Harlech was British Ambassador to the Kennedy White House, and maintained a relationship with Jackie after the president's death. 37 Heavens is due to go into production in 2022. It will be directed by Marc Munden (The Third Day) and is written by Steve Austin.

According to Deadline, the film chronicles Kennedy and Harlech's highly-publicized 1967 visit to Cambodia. "Arriving in Cambodia as the personal guest of Prince Sihanouk, who is desperate to restore diplomatic ties with the United States, the former First Lady is accompanied by her old friend, the recently widowed Harlech," a synopsis reads. "He is on a secret mission for Robert Kennedy to negotiate an end to the Vietnam War – and to spend a week alone with the woman he loves."

Kennedy reportedly rejected a proposal from Harlech in 1968, opting to marry Aristotle Onassis instead. In a letter from this time, she wrote to Harlech: "You are like my beloved beloved brother—and mentor—and the only original spirit I know—as you were to Jack." So at risk of ruining the ending of a movie that's yet to be made, this probably isn't going to be a love story for the ages.
