No matter how many times you say her name, Geena Davis’ character won’t be resurrected in the new “Beetlejuice.”

The “Thelma & Louise” star, 68, confirmed this week that she won’t be featured in the sequel that’s set to haunt and taunt theaters this fall.

“No, I’m not. I’m not in the remake,” the Oscar winner told Entertainment Tonight at the CinemaCon 2024 Big Screen Achievement Awards. “Oh, you were expecting that I would be? Yeah, no, you know what? Because my theory is that ghosts don’t age … Not that I have.”

Tim Burton’s original 1988 horror-comedy sees Davis and Alec Baldwin as Barbara and Adam Maitland, a recently deceased couple whose ghosts are stuck at their home. In an effort to chase out the home’s new residents, the Deetz family, they hire the titular spirit (played by Michael Keaton) — who appears when his name is said three times.

The sequel, due out Sept. 5, sees Keaton, along with Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara — who starred as Lydia and Delia Deetz, respectively — reprising their roles. The flick also stars Jenna Ortega.

“Our characters were stuck the way they looked when they died forever, so it’s been awhile, it’s been a minute,” said Davis, who noted she she does still “have to see the trailer,” which dropped last month.

Much like his onscreen wife, 66-year-old Baldwin also won’t appear in the new film.

The “30 Rock” alum was charged in January, for a second time, with involuntary manslaughter for firing the live round that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of their film “Rust” in 2021. The shooting also wounded director Joel Souza.

Baldwin denies wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty in January, a year after he was initially charged. His trial is scheduled for July.
