Gayle King went for glitz on Monday night. The “CBS Mornings” co-host attended The New York Pops’ 41st Birthday Gala honoring Clive Davis wearing a pair of t-strap pumps from the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker collection.
This isn’t the only pair of SJP footwear that King has in her shoe collection. Last year, she wore a pair of stiletto pumps for a taping. The shoes were the brand’s “Reflection” style that had been seen on “And Just Like That.” The $450 shoes featured a color-blocked toe box in shades of copper, tan, and pink.
The gala hosted guests like Martha Stewart at Carnegie Hall. Fantasia Barrino was the featured performer.
About the shoes
The style King wore is the “Carrie” t-strap pump from SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker. The shoes derive their name from Parker’s “Sex and the City” character Carrie Bradshaw.
$385
The shoe is a mix between a sandal and a T-strap pump. Though it features a closed pointed-toe, and full ankle coverage as most pumps do, its strap design forms like a cage around the rest of the foot. It also sports a moderate stiletto heel of about 3 inches. It falls in line with King’s typical on-air style which includes pointed-toe pumps.
SJP Collection
SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker began in 2014 and was founded on three main pillars which include delivering quality products, using color and sparkle as a neutral and giving every shoe a personality. The brand includes staples like a Celine-titled Mary Jane, a pump dubbed Fawn, as well as a T-strap sandal given the name of Carrie. There are also a variety of seasonal designs that are part of collections like a Studio 59-themed range. Over time, the brand has expanded into fragrance and accessories.
