Gayle King incessantly flirts with Lenny Kravitz mid-interview, asks if he’s dating: ‘Can I beat her ass?’

The journalist got extra flirty with Lenny Kravitz when she interviewed him for CBS Mornings. A clip from their sit-down went viral after being shared via TikTok on Thursday.

“Do you have a significant other in your life? And can I beat her ass if she is?” King, 69, asked Kravitz, 59. “Oops, did I say that out loud?”

Kravitz’s reply? “Wow.”

“And I’m nonviolent, Lenny Kravitz,” King interjected. “But do you have a partner? Do you have love in your life?”

Kravitz, who turns 60 on May 26, replied: “Right now I’m just open.”

“Are you even looking?” King quizzed.

“It’s hard not to look. You know when you desire something you’re looking for it, right? But I find that when you don’t look is when you find it,” he explained. “And I’m at a place where I’ve said this for several years, ‘I’m ready. I’m ready. I’m ready.’ I wasn’t ready. I thought I was ready, right?”

Kravitz, who was on hand to promote his 12th studio album, “Blue Electric Light,” is known for his cool reputation. He even has shared videos of himself exercising at the gym in leather pants.

“Are you aware of the effect you have on people or is this something that you have to work at?” King went on to ask.

The “Hunger Games” actor said he doesn’t “work on it at all.”

“And I don’t think about it but I am aware of people’s reaction,” he continued. “I’m here to amplify love. I’m just an antenna. I don’t write, it’s offered to me and then I put it together.”

Kravitz was previously married to Lisa Bonet from 1987 to 1993, and the pair are parents of actress Zoe Kravitz. He more recently was spotted spending time with Mexican model Ana Paula Valle in 2023.

King, meanwhile, was previously married to ex-husband William Bumpus from 1982 to 1993.
