Gayle King Celebrates New Addition to the Family With Adorable Photos: 'So Happy for You All'

This year, Gayle King's Mother's Day was a little extra special, as her daughter Kirby Bumpus welcomed a daughter named Grayson.
The TV personality shared the big news on Instagram alongside bright and beautiful photos of the big happy family. Gayle and her daughter, Kirby, her son-in-law, Virgil Miller, and the couple's two kids, baby Grayson and son Luca, met for a fun and fashionable gathering. Gayle's son, William Bumpus Jr., and his fiancée, Elise Smith, also joined the group.
Gayle stunned in a green and yellow checked dress, while Kirby wore an equally stylish white dress with a watercolor floral pattern. Even the babies were dressed up, with Luca looking cute in a button-up and yellow sweater as Grayson slept the day away in a pink and white outfit.
"Best Mother’s Day EVER!!" Gayle began the caption, introducing Grayson before she added, "AND today is Kirby’s birthday so much to celebrate! With people I love the most…"
The Oprah Daily Instagram account commented, "Best Mother’s Day post ❤️❤️❤️❤️," while Tina Knowles, Beyoncé's mother, wrote, "Happy Mother's Day to an amazing mother. Love you, Gayle.❤️."
Fans also flooded the comments to congratulate the second-time grandmother, with notes like, "So beautiful, so happy for you all❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," and "You all look so happy and in love. Enjoy these little souls. They grow up too fast congratulations!"
In late 2021, when Gayle first became a grandmother with the birth of Kirby's son, Luca, she commented on how her life changed, saying on CBS Mornings, "The sky seems brighter, the colors are nicer, you just can’t get enough of this child."
Gayle shares Kirby and William with her ex-husband, William Bumpus. The two married in 1982 and were together until their divorce in 1993.
