Gay Fan of Meghan McCain Praises Her for Showing That ‘Conservatism Was Not Evil or Homophobic'

Meghan McCain is being praised for helping break down stereotypes.

The 34-year-old conservative View co-host received a heartwarming comment from a fan on Instagram over the weekend, when she was praised by the self-described “gay millennial” for helping him “see that conservatism was not evil or homophobic.”

“As a gay millennial, I noticed you and your advocacy in the 00’s. If the daughter and wife of the Republican nominee are advocating for gay rights, perhaps I’m being lied to. My eyes began opening. You helped me see that I didn’t have to be a Democrat just because of my sexuality,” the comment, shared by McCain on Sunday, began.

“You helped me see that conservatism was not evil or homophobic. You helped me come out of the closet as a gay man with some conservative values. Thank you!” the comment continued. “Love watching you everyday (admittedly the only reason I watch) and congrats on your well-deserved award!”

The kind words of affirmation left McCain feeling both inspired and grateful.

“I don’t even know what to say other than this is one of the most beautiful notes anyone has ever posted on my social media accounts. Thank you @jrnagler – your bravery and kindness are truly inspirational,” she captioned the screenshot of the post.

“Living your truth in a world that can be cruel is true courage. Thank you again for this wonderful message, made my Sunday. ]]>🏳🌈🇺🇸🌈🏳🌈🇺🇸🌈🏳🌈🌈🇺🇸🏳🌈🌈🇺🇸
