‘You Gave Me The Resources I Needed To Change My Life Around,’ Says Teen To Dr. Phil

In season 19, Dana wrote to Dr. Phil because she said her teenage son, Chas, who was once a good student, star athlete, and self-professed momma’s boy, was facing five felony charges and making the nightly news for escaping from the back of a police car and leading authorities on a high-speed chase. Today, Chas says thanks to Dr. Phil, to Joseph, and to his attorney, Arnold Reed, for helping him to turn himself around. “You all could have let me go do jail and do that time, but instead, you gave me the resources I needed to change my life around,” he says.
