The New Gate episode 3 recap
The episode starts with Shin forming a contract with the rescued fox and naming it Yuzuha. Upon arriving at the guild, Shin reports on the number of skull faces near the city. He goes over to check the quest board and sees a quest for a skilled successor from the orphanage.
He accepts and visits the location to check what it’s about. Shin meets Tiara and asks her to see Millie. Although initially reluctant, Millie sees Shin and embraces him immediately, which makes Tiara trust him. Tiara tells him they are looking for someone to teach them the purifying skill so they can save the orphanage. Shin accepts the mission in exchange for information from the church, and Tiara accepts.
Shin then spends some time with the children in the orphanage, as Millie had assured them that he would save them. He meets Laccia, the granddaughter of the former priest who would be learning the skill. Wilhelm interrupts their discussion and glares at Shin, but Millie assures him he is trustworthy. Shin talks to them about the skill and promises to help Laccia. Wilhelm also decides to accompany them.
Wilhelm and Shin attacked the skeletons, leaving Laccia to finish them off so she could obtain the skill. Elsewhere, Lady Riona battled a skull-faced Jack with the rest of her team. When all hope seemed lost, Schnee arrived and defeated the monster.
