Gaslight Anthem announces big record release shows at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City

Open the “History Books,” Gaslight Anthem is headed back to Jersey.

White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, to be specific, for four “History Books” record release shows on Friday, Oct. 27; Saturday, Oct. 28; Sunday, Oct. 29; and Monday, Oct .30.

Tickets, $47.50 in advance, went on sale via artist presales at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 and the Oct. 29 and 30 shows were added soon afterward. “History Books,” Gaslight Anthem's first new album together in almost a decade, will be released Oct. 27 from Gaslight's own Rich Mahogany Recordings label via Thirty Tigers.

The previously released title track features Bruce Springsteen on vocals.

“None of us wanted to make a very somber or serious record showing how much we’ve matured,” said frontman Brian Fallon in a statement. “We’ve all changed and grown and learned so much, but the overall mood was a feeling of excitement to be back together and making music that means something to us.”

Gaslight Anthem reunited in 2022 after a seven-year hiatus, minus a brief reunion in 2018. The band played the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel last year, and opened for the Misfits at the Prudential Center in Newark in July.

Core members Fallon, Alex Rosamilia, Alex Levine and Benny Horowitz started at the former Court Tavern in New Brunswick in the 2000s. The band, including Ian Perkins and Bryan Haring, is currently on tour in the U.S.
