“None of us wanted to make a very somber or serious record showing how much we’ve matured,” said frontman Brian Fallon in a statement. “We’ve all changed and grown and learned so much, but the overall mood was a feeling of excitement to be back together and making music that means something to us.”
Gaslight Anthem reunited in 2022 after a seven-year hiatus, minus a brief reunion in 2018. The band played the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel last year, and opened for the Misfits at the Prudential Center in Newark in July.
Core members Fallon, Alex Rosamilia, Alex Levine and Benny Horowitz started at the former Court Tavern in New Brunswick in the 2000s. The band, including Ian Perkins and Bryan Haring, is currently on tour in the U.S.
