The Gaslight Anthem Address Reports of Sexual Assault in Audience of Their Shows

In a series of tweets, the Gaslight Anthem have addressed reports they received of sexual assault and harassment that took place in the audience of their concerts. “From the very beginning of this band, we have strived to create a positive and safe environment for our fans and this kind of abhorrent behavior cannot and will not be tolerated at our shows,” they wrote. While they didn’t provide further details about exactly what happened, they said that they’ve reached out to the authorities and venues about the incidents and encouraged people to support the organization Safe Gigs for Women.
