The Bella Twins The Garcia Twins have retired from wrestling, and from their old names too.

During a recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the sisters discussed their move away from “The Bella Twins.” Nikki says this was an effort to go back to their roots.

“So that’s our real names. You know, when we were wrestlers, the Bella Twins, that was our gimmick name,” said Garcia. “So now that we’re no longer wrestlers, we were retired, we’re like ‘Let’s go back to our roots.’ [We’re] Mexican and Italian. We’re entering this new chapter, about to be 40 in November. So we thought you know entering this next decade of our lives, let’s go back to our roots as entrepreneurs and mothers.”

The sisters were a legendary duo in the world of WWE, with each of them holding the former WWE Divas Championship at separate times. The pair also were stars of the reality television series Total Bellas, and were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.

Nikki and Brie announced their official departure from WWE in March 2023. They signified the new chapter of their lives by inviting fans to follow their journey as the Garcia Twins.
