Meghan Markle is in the news once again, but this time, it’s about Garcelle Beauvais of all people. The royal family and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast have each been making headlines in their own right.
For example, Garcelle’s superfans know she’s been killing it lately. In mid-April, Lifetime announced that they were working with Garcelle on three projects. Garcelle will work as a star and producer on all three movies.
Meghan has been keeping busy just as well. With the launch of her American Riviera Orchard range, the Duchess sent out 50 jars of jam to select individuals. These members of her ‘jam club’ were all too happy to share the arrival of Meghan’s gift with the world, including Garcelle.
Garcelle and Meghan’s relationship progresses
On April 26, Garcelle made an Instagram post showing the jam she’d received from Meghan in a bowl of lemons. “Sweetness,” Garcelle wrote in the caption, tagging the American Riviera Orchard. Comments were very positive on the whole, with many people saying they’d be buying Meghan’s jam.
One commenter, however, wrote, “Oh, Garcelle, no. Just no. You’re a smart woman, don’t let her use you.” As one of the replies noted, Garcelle wasn’t being used. She and Meghan had ties long before this. In late 2023, the two were photographed together at Variety’s Power of Women gala. Garcelle was all too happy to meet the duchess.
Later at the event, she gushed, “I took a picture with Meghan Markle, so I can die now.” During the event, Meghan teased “so many exciting things on the slate” of personal projects. “I’m just really proud of what we’re creating,” she said at the time. One of those slate items very well could’ve been the orchard.
