According to Deadline, Game of Thrones vet Kate Dickie has been enlisted to join Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino in the upcoming second season of Marvel Studios’ Loki.
Dickie’s character is expected to be introduced as a villain, though further details are being kept under wraps. The outlet also notes that production on the highly-anticipated second installment of the Disney+ series has finally been completed.
Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki Season 1 featured the return of the God of Mischief after he’s arrested by the Time Variance Authority due to the damage he had done to the timeline. Season 2 is directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who recently helmed the Moon Knight series. The duo will be replacing Kate Herron, who will still remain on the project as its producer.
The series also stars Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. So far, Wilson and Mbatha-Raw are confirmed to return for the next season.
Season 2 hails from head writer and executive producer Eric Martin. The new installment will be executive produced by Martin, Hiddleston, and Season 1 head writer Michael Waldron.
