Former CIA deputy director David S. Cohen appears on 'Game of Thrones'
Sunday’s Game of Thrones episode featured another one of the show’s trademark unexpected cameo appearances, when former CIA Deputy Director David S. Cohen appeared on screen. Obviously there was no problem keeping it a secret until, eventually, the CIA was in the clear to tweet about it.
A perk of working for CIA is world travel. Apparently that sometimes extends to other realms…

Cohen can be spotted in a scene that features Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) trying to motivate some weary citizens of Winterfell before the looming battle with the White Walkers. Cohen gets a bowl of soup from Davos and then lingers in the background for the conversation.
The former deputy director under President Barack Obama confirmed his appearance on Twitter.

Fans also took to Twitter to have a little fun with Cohen’s cameo and the CIA connection.
This cameo by @cohendavid could actually be the coolest thing ever done by a deputy director of the @CIA. #undercover https://t.co/P9Qh7SI0oO
