‘Game of Thrones’: Check Out Daenerys Targaryen’s New Season 7 Look
Look who got a makeover!
HBO released the first teaser for Game of Thrones Season 7, and it features three royals — Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen walking through long halls and sitting on their respective thrones.
While Jon and Cersei look pretty much the same as they did at the end of Season 6, Daenerys seems to have acquired a new wardrobe. Gone are the filmy, colorful, skin-baring gowns she flaunted in Meereen. In the promo, the Mother of Dragons sports a severe, long-sleeved, up-to-her-neck dress with a heavy cape trailing off her shoulders.
Granted, Westeros is entering a long winter, while Meereen had a desert climate. Plus, flying around on her dragons probably gets a bit chilly. The new outfit almost seems like armor — which Daenerys will need as she faces off against Cersei for the Iron Throne.
Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres July 16 on HBO.
