Game of Groans: Not All Paths To Success Are Equal

David Benioff and DB Weiss broke their silence this week on the questionable last season of their HBO hit show "Game of Thrones". The details they provided, however, seemed to push their situation from bad to worse, not just in the eyes of their fans, but also with their future collaborators. Here are just a few ways David and Dan are suffering the fallout this week.

Goodbye to a Galaxy Far Far Away

David and Dan were set to leave the land of Westerose and enter a whole new galaxy with their own movie trilogy over at Lucasfilm. This week it was announced that David, Dan, and Disney had parted ways and there would no longer be a three-movie deal in the pair's future. While the word "fired" was never mentioned, the internet still has questions.

No More Age of Heroes

While it was never Dave and Dan's baby, the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series starring Naomi Watts was axed this week. The pilot, apparently, wasn't stellar, but neither was season 8, so who's to say that Dave and Dan's failure didn't give some executives cold feet.

Bad Writers

The guys may be trying not to take all the setbacks personally (they still have their Netfilix's deal after all) but it must hurt that since July (and a very successful Reddit campaign) both David and Dan have been topping all Google searches for "bad writers" online.
