GalaxyCon bringing fandom, celebrities to Austin Convention Center on Labor Day weekend

A well-known convention is bringing fandom and out-of-this-world guests to Austin for the first time this year.

GalaxyCon, which already has events in Columbus, OH, Richmond, VA, and Raleigh, NC, will take place from Sept. 1-3 at the Austin Convention Center on 500 E Cesar Chavez St. The weekend will consist of cosplay, celebrity meet-and-greets, shopping, panels and more.

Attendees can purchase individual day passes, two-day passes or three-day passes. VIP and deluxe options are also available.

Which celebrities will attend GalaxyCon in Austin?

Just a few of the celebrity guests making appearances throughout the weekend are:

• Ming-Na Wen of "Mulan," "Mandalorian" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" fame

• Motion capture king Andy Serkis

• Famous boxer Mike Tyson

• William Shatner of "Star Trek"

• Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano in "Star Wars"

• acclaimed and versatile voice actress Cristina Vee from "Miraculous Ladybug," "Hunter x Hunter" and "Sailor Moon"
