If you don't feel like cooking this Thanksgiving or you just need a little help, there are plenty of restaurants in and around Gainesville open before and during the holiday to help make a memorable feast for you and your family. This list will be updated at gainesville.com

Top Hog BBQ

Top Hog BBQ, 6500 SW Archer Road, Suite E, and 14128 W. Newberry Road, Suite 10, is offering Thanksgiving Day meals to-go for $95, while supplies last. The meals, which serve six to eight people, include turkey or ham (or half and half), macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, cornbread and a pumpkin carrot cake.

Meals must be preordered by Nov. 20 for hot or cold pickup on Nov. 22 or on Thanksgiving Day before noon.

Haile Village Bistro

Haile Village Bistro, 5323 SW 91st Terrace, will be open for a Thanksgiving buffet and hold seatings from noon to 3 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.

Families must make reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet. Adults are $40, and children age 10 and under are $15.

Mi Apa Latin Cafe

Mi Apa Latin Cafe's three locations — 114 SW 34th St. in Gainesville; 14209 W. Newberry Road, Suite B in Jonesville; and 15634 NW U.S. 441 in Alachua — will be open Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It also is offering three holiday specials, including a meal that feeds up to 10 people for $169, and comes with a whole roasted turkey, yellow rice, black beans, sweet plantains, a bottle of Mi Apa Mojo and a fresh loaf of Cuban bread. All specials require a 72-hour notice.

Mildred’s Big City Food

Mildred’s Big City Food, 3445 W. University Ave., is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, with the last seating at 8:45. Reservations are required.

Mildred's will be offering its normal three-course menu, a la carte appetizers, as well as a traditional turkey plate.

1906, 25405 W. Newberry Road in Newberry, will be hosting an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving feast from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Entrees include turkey, baked ham and roast beef, while sides include classics like mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato soufflé and more. Desserts on the menu include pumpkin pie, peach cobbler and banana pudding. Adults are $25.95 and kids ages 12 and under are $12.95. Reservations are required.

Nopal, 5112 NW 34th Blvd., will be open Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Its regular menu will be available as well as a special holiday menu, which features butternut squash soup, turkey shepherd's pie, almond crusted cod and guava flan.

Covey Kitchen, located inside Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida, 1514 SW 14th St., is serving up a holiday buffet from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. filled with classic — and not so classic — Thanksgiving fare.

Hit the carving station for roasted turkey and maple glazed ham, or try the seared ahi tuna, chilled shrimp and snow crab legs. Also on the menu are sides such as sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and more. Finish your meal with an assortment of pies, torts and cookies. Adults are $50, kids ages 6 to 12 are $20, and kids age 5 and under are free. Reservations are required.

Great Outdoors Restaurant

The Great Outdoors Restaurant, 65 N. Main St. in High Springs, will be open Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A buffet-style Thanksgiving dinner will be available for $38 per person. Reservations are suggested.

Metro Diner

Metro Diner, 2130 SW 34th St., will open Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for holiday meal pickup and table service.

Metro Diner's Heat & Serve Holiday Feasts To-Go! can be customized to serve up to eight people, and include baked ham or roasted turkey, along with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, Hawaiian dinner rolls, and cornbread stuffing or macaroni and cheese and street corn.

Pre-orders can be made through Nov. 22, and pickup times are between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 21 and Nov. 22, and between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel, 4001 SW 43rd St., will be open on Thanksgiving from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and will begin serving traditional dinners at 11 a.m.

Heat-and-serve meals also are available for preorder online at www.crackerbarrel.com. A meal that serves four to six people starts at $104.99, while a meal that serves eight to 10 starts at $154.99. A selection of pies such as apple streusel, pumpkin and pecan also are available.
