Gaby Hoffmann Dishes on Childhood Trip to Neverland Ranch With Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie
Kim Kardashian West and Nicole Richie have been friends for a long time, but did you know that Gaby Hoffmann used to run in their circle too?
During an appearance on HuffPost Live on Tuesday, the Girls star recalled visiting Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch with the reality stars. “We weren’t friends,” the actress said after the host showed her an epic throwback pic from the early ‘90s. “This is a totally strange, bizarre, anomalous moment.”
The 33-year-old explained that she was classmates with the girls at Buckley School near Los Angeles. She moved from New York to L.A. where she lived “an alternate reality life” for two years and that’s where the girls all crossed paths. “In those two years, I happened to be in school with these girls — at least Nicole. I don’t remember that Kim Kardashian actually went to our school,” she explained. “But Nicole Richie invited me to her birthday party, and it was at Michael Jackson’s Neverland! That’s where this picture was taken.”
The late King of Pop was Nicole’s godfather and while he wasn’t in attendance, she celebrated her 12th birthday at his famous home. “I did get to meet A.J. and Bubbles, the chimps. I actually didn’t care that much that Michael wasn’t there because I got to meet the chimps,” she added.
