Gabrielle Ruiz Welcomes Baby No. 2 with Husband Philip Pisanchyn: 'Hearts Are Full This Valentine's Day'

Gabrielle Ruiz is a mom again!

The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend alum, 39, welcomed her second baby, daughter Vivienne Zocha Pisanchyn, with husband Philip Pisanchyn on Tuesday, Jan. 23, sharing the announcement exclusively with PEOPLE.

"Our hearts are full this Valentine's Day, introducing Vivienne Zocha Pisanchyn to the world," Ruiz tells PEOPLE. "Born Jan. 23, 2024, Vivi is well loved by her big sister Mercedes, and all of her family."

"Philip and I chose the name Vivienne because it has always been a top favorite in my heart. Zocha is her great great grandmother's name and it is of Polish origin meaning 'wisdom.'"

"I'm looking forward to being a mother of two girls as I have one older sister myself. We still do everything together, support one another and I even still borrow all of her clothes!" the actress shares.

Ruiz also shared a few sweet photos with PEOPLE, including one where the newly minted family of four poses together in shades of white and light pink as they sit together on a bench. Ruiz holds her newborn daughter, who has an adorable white floral headband on.

Other shots show the mother-daughter duo posing with their faces pressed together, with Vivi reaching out one hand to the camera. The baby girl can later be seen sleeping soundly as she's bundled in a white blanket.

In 2021, Ruiz welcomed her first baby, daughter Mercedes, announcing the news on Instagram. "Mercedes is here and oh what a beauty she is," the new mom wrote alongside a photo of the newborn.

"[Thank you] for all your prayers and well wishes. We felt them. More later after some more family time. Oh my baby girl, how you've made our world so beautiful. I love you, Philip. 4/28/2021."

Ruiz's pregnancy, which she confirmed in December 2020, came one year after experiencing a miscarriage.

"Since my miscarriage last fall," she told PEOPLE that December, "I had a new perspective on my health as a woman ready to start a family. I focused on my mental and physical health while we were trying again. When COVID-19 took over the world, we were weary of trying again, but decided to continue in faith. Six months later, we were pregnant."

"Philip and I are so thrilled and grateful to God for this new chapter in our lives," Ruiz added at the time. "We have been focusing on the positives of staying safe in isolation while sharing our pregnancy journey with family, friends and fans in new, virtual ways."
