After teasing a full-length collaboration late last year, Metro Boomin and Future have announced not one, but two new albums releasing in the coming weeks.

The pair have announced “We Don’t Trust You” will drop on March 22, with a second album slated for April 12. The duo released a trailer for the two records on YouTube, showing the rapper and super producer riding in white cars through the desert before hopping out and standing side by side.

“There’s a lot of fuckin’ garbage ass rappers out here, running around,” the voiceover says in the clip. “These n—s ain’t supposed to be rapping, son. This game is meant for a select, simple few. A select few, man. And that’s what it is today. I don’t give a fuck, ain’t nothin’ changed.”

Metro and Future first met when the former was 17 years old, and their collaborative work dates back to 2013. Metro had a heavy hand in producing several of the rapper’s albums, including 2015’s “DS2” and “What a Time to Be Alive,” his joint project with Drake.

As a producer, Metro has risen the ranks to become one of music’s top artisans. In Dec. 2022, he released his second solo album “Heroes & Villains,” and soon after helmed the soundtrack for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.” Last month, he was nominated for producer of the year, non-classical at the 66th annual Grammy Awards.

Future has also had a similar astronomical rise since his debut solo album “Pluto” in 2012. He last dropped a solo album in 2022 with “I Never Liked You,” and has put out full-length projects alongside Zaytoven, Young Thug and Lil Uzi Vert.
