Update On FTR’s AEW Contract Status After Return At AEW Revolution
FTR are back in All Elite Wrestling, and they’re reportedly here to stay.
At AEW Revolution, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler returned to the promotion when they attacked The Gunns, who had just retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a four-way match. Harwood and Wheeler last wrestled on AEW TV on the December 21 episode of AEW Dynamite. Harwood then announced that they had been given a few months off to contemplate their futures, as their contracts were set to expire in April.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the “belief” is that Harwood and Wheeler are locked into long-term deals, and their absence, along with their teases of jumping ship, were all part of a storyline.
Harwood and Wheeler are former AEW World Tag Team Champions. They are also former IWGP Tag Team Champions, ROH World Tag Team Champions, and AAA World Tag Team Champions. They were the first-ever Triple Crown Tag Team Champions in WWE.
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
