The first review from CinemaBlend's Eric Eisenberg gave the movie 2.5 stars. Wow! He said “the soundtrack of Frozen II was stellar, and the cast is top notch, it's not enough to save an otherwise messy story”. This usually the biggest issue for sequels is continuing the same story or developing a new story that is as good as the first film. A direct quote from the review says, “The return to the magical city of Arendelle is a lacking experience – unable to keep afloat what is a dull and confusing story.” Clearly, everything for him was great other than the story. Kids will eat this up regardless if the movie makes sense or not. This review seems to be for adult viewers.

This is just one of the more negative reviews. The rest seem to be more positive. Slashfilm says the second film is better than the first film. Okay, this is good! People will definitely pay more attention to reviews like this! However, they say it is just slightly better than the original. Similar to the first review, the story is the issue. There are too many elements they are trying to accomplish to keep up with the expectations. It seemingly fails. The quote says, “With its eye-popping animation, world-building, and character exploration, Frozen II is nominally a slight improvement on its predecessor.” Viewers are in for a visual treat! If they do not gain anything from the film, your eyes will be feasting!

Overall, go into the film with little expectations and be ready to make your own judgement after viewing the movie! Reviews only provide a small glimpse into what they would like for the movie. You may have something completely different you want! Go and enjoy the movie.
