From friendship bracelet to getaway car: Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce relationship timeline

Ever since mega-star Taylor Swift broke up with Joe Alwyn, her beau for over six years, Swifties have been holding their breath in anticipation of who will be her next lover.

Amid rumors she's dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, now even NFL fans have joined in on the speculation.

But have Kelce and Swift made things official yet? Here's what we know about their prospective romance.

Who is Taylor Swift dating?

Dating rumors have recently surrounded Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. However, an official label on their relationship has yet to be confirmed.

Kelce, originally from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, is an eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro for the Chiefs. He has won two Super Bowls. Kelce played college football for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, and his brother is Jason Kelce, an All-Pro center for the Philadelphia Eagles.

July 8: Kelce attends The Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium, attempts to meet Swift

Kelce switched things up and took the stands at the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, to watch Swift work the stage during her world-renowned Eras Tour.

A video shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, showed Kelce enjoying the show from a private suite.

Later, Travis revealed on his "New Heights" podcast, alongside brother Jason, that he brought along a special gift for the pop star that night.

“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets," Kelce said. "And I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”

“Your number as in 87, or your phone number?” his brother asked.

“You know which one," Travis joked.

In the end, Travis said Swift didn't meet with people after the show, so the two didn't connect.

Sept. 12: Source says the two are 'hanging out'

A report from The Messenger said Kelce and Swift had been "quietly hanging out."

Chiefs and Swiftie fans alike gave their reactions to the news.

"He’s successful in his field, smart, open to grand gestures to get her attention (the concert thing), presumably unproblematic? Yes, I like this. Lol," a fan wrote.

"He seems like an actual good guy who loves his mama. ... His nieces and nephews also love him. I am shipping the absolute f*** out of this couple," someone else said.

Sept. 20: Jason Kelce seemingly confirms the rumors about his brother are true

In an interview with Philadelphia sports radio station 94 WIP, Eagles center Jason Kelce said the rumors about his younger brother's romance with Swift seemed to be "100% true."

"It's hard to answer, 'cause I don't really know a lot about what's happening in Travis' love life," he said after radio hosts asked him about his brother's relationship status. "I try to like keep, you know, his business his business and stay out of that world."

"But, having said that, man, I think they're doing great," Jason continued. "I think it's all 100% true and I hope this thing goes a mile."

Sept. 21: Travis Kelce reveals the ball is in Swift's court

On air with "The Pat McAfee Show," Kelce revealed he invited Swift to see him play.

“I threw the ball in her court,” he said. “I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead.’ We’ll see what happens in the near future.”

He also addressed the stunning levels of publicity their maybe-romance has garnered.

“It’s hilarious how much traction this has actually got,” Kelce said. “I think it’s, right now, it’s like that old game in school called Telephone, where everybody is just whispering in each other’s ear, just hearing some random stuff.”

Sept. 24: Swift comes out of the woods and into the football stands

NFL and Swiftie fandoms alike were rocked when Swift appeared at the Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears, cheering on Kelce from a private suite with his mom, Donna.

A video shared on X showed Swift embracing Donna while watching the game.

Travis and Swift left the stadium together before hopping into their getaway car – a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, reportedly part of the NFL player's personal collection.

People Magazine reported the Ohio native rented out a popular Kansas City restaurant for a postgame celebration with Swift, his parents and teammates.

Sept. 27: Kelce talks about Swift's appearance: 'She looked amazing'

A few days later, Kelce opened up about Swift's appearance during his "New Heights" podcast.

"Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up," he said. "I just thought it was awesome that everyone in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, the friends and family. She looked amazing."

Rumors continued to swirl online about the pair's relationship status as Kelce saw a huge boost in publicity, podcast views and jersey sales.

Oct. 1: 'Welcome to New York' – Swift cheers on Kelce at MetLife Stadium

Kelce was in Swift's part of town as he made his way to MetLife Stadium for the Chiefs' game against the New York Jets (Swift has a place in New York). Swift attended the game to cheer on Kelce from a private suite, joined by her famous friends Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Sophie Turner.

The NFL documented Swift's second game appearance on X.

New York Daily News reported Swift and Kelce left the stadium separately, with the Chiefs player headed toward his team's bus and Swift walking out arm-in-arm with friend Sophie Turner.

All in all, the power duo seem to be keeping things casual. Kelce's next game takes place Sunday, Oct. 8, when the Chiefs take on the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
