Appleton East 75, Appleton West 59 (Friday)

APPLETON - The Patriots went up by 14 points over their in-town rivals at the half and extended their lead to win by 16.

Joey La Chapell scored a game-high 21 points, including five first-half 3-pointers, and dished out seven assists to lead East. Caleb Glaser added 19 points and eight rebounds, and Tyson Keil had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Mikail Harmison led West with 20 points and Thomas Schueppert followed with 13 for the Terrors.

KIMBERLY - The Papermakers continue their solid play, getting 18 points from Nathan Wildes and 17 from Bryson Vieth in the win over the conference-leading Cardinals.

Thomas Meyers also had 13 points for the Papermakers.

Jamariea Dalton led Fond du Lac with 24 points. Will Braatz and Ryker Johnson each collected eight rebounds.

Kimberly led 28-19 at the half and had just one turnover. The Papermakers were also 17-of-19 from the free throw line in the second half to cap the win.

Kimberly improves to 10-5 overall and 8-4 in the Fox Valley Association. It was the Cardinals’ second loss in conference play (10-2) and Fond du Lac is 14-4 overall.

WAUPACA - The Irish, led by Ashton Peterson’s 23 points, had four players score in double figures in the win over the Comets.

Drew Kortz, Owen Wedin and Gavin Greiner added 14, 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Freedom.

Aaron Wolff led Waupaca with 16 points. Riley Bechard and Henry Mouw added 15 and 13 points, respectively.

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Tigers outscored the Spartans by 22 points in the second half to pull away for the victory.

Marshall Edinger made five 3-pointers and scored 33 points to lead the Tigers. Keegan Spees added 18 points for Wrightstown.

Jack Rollin and Caleb Blohowiak scored 13 points apiece to lead Luxemburg-Casco.

MENASHA - The Bluejays held on to a four-point halftime lead to upset the previously 14-1 Hawks, who have now dropped two games in a row.

Josiah Hibbler led Menasha with 11 points and the trio of Riley Yonker, JC Mukome and Quinn Ludvigsen added 10 points apiece. The Bluejays made nine 3-pointers as a team.

Tyler Brightman and Alex Sherwood both scored 11 points to lead Xavier. Carson Hehli added 10 points for the Hawks.

NEENAH - Allie Ziebell made 16-of-18 free throws as part of her 30-point performance leading the Rockets to the win over the Lightning.

The victory kept Neenah (12-1 Fox Valley Association) tied with Hortonville for first place.

Ava Kok and Sammie Buss added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Neenah.

Appleton North was paced by Karissa Smith with 15 points. Madi Hacker and Sophie Busch added 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Abby Borchardt led the Rams with 25 points, including 14 in the second half. Halle Van Horn added 13 points for Random Lake.

Leading the Falcons were Addison Schliewe with 18 points, and Makenzie Schroeder with 14.

CHIPPEWA FALLS - The Stars got goals from Maleiyah Streck and Evie Mursau in the third period to forge the tie with the Sabers.

Streck’s goal was scored in the 14th minute and Mursau’s goal in the 15th minute for Fox Cities.

Lily Schmear assisted on Streck’s goal. Aerwyn Davis and Julia Lindemann assisted on Mursau’s goal.

Ella Sciborski had 36 saves in goal for Fox Cities.

Kasandra Herr had 22 saves for Chippewa Falls/Menomonie.
