Friday Night Hero: Week 10 winner is Jacob Mendoza; this week's candidates revealed

Last week Jacob Mendoza had three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown against Desert Mirage, filling in just fine for injured teammate Aaron Ramirez. That's why you named him the Week 10 Friday Night Hero.

Jayvyn Capler

Palm Springs: QB

What he did: Although Palm Springs lost, Capler deserves a medal. Capler played through injury and threw for 140 yards and two scores while basically on one leg.

Demetri Chester

Palm Desert: RB

What he did: Chester had 33 carries for 198 yards and three touchdowns of 9, 25 and 5 yards, all in the second half to help Palm Desert secure a share of their sixth straight DEL title.

Joey Montoya

Coachella Valley: LB

What he did: Montoya recovered a fumble on Indio's final drive of the game to secure a 13-10 win and an outright DVL title for the Arabs.

Ryder Ruiz

Xavier Prep: QB

What he did: Ruiz had a huge night for the Saints. He finished 19-for-26 for 207 yards and a school-record tying six touchdown tosses. He also rushed 16 times for 147 yards and two more touchdowns. His eight total touchdowns are a single-game school record too.

Makaury Warren

La Quinta: WR/DB

What he did: Warren was all over the field for the Blackhawks and was a key part in their win. He caught three passes for 65 yards and a score, as well as the game-sealing interception to help the Blackhawks win a share of the DEL title for the first time since 2016.
