We already knew Kylian Mbappe was fast. But until today, perhaps we didn’t realize just how fast the France winger is. Seriously this guy is fast! We saw the full range of Mbappe’s superhuman pace on display in the 11th minute of France’s World Cup Round of 16 clash with Argentina.

The 19-year-old Paris Saint Germain player was lurking in France’s defensive half when he pounced on an errant pass in the middle of the park and turned on the afterburners.

Check it out.

Mbappe effectively leaves half the Argentine team in his dust before he bursts into the opposition box and gets bowled over by Marcos Rojo, winning a penalty for France. Antoine Griezmann stepped up to the mark and blasted a shot past Argentina keeper Franco Armani to give France the lead.

Argentina pulled level before the end of the half, thanks to a rocket from well outside the box courtesy of Angel Di Maria.
