Freeride Movie "Nothing's For Free" Streaming On Apple TV+

The life of a freerider may seem like it is only glamour, but there is a lot behind the scenes that goes into it.

The Freeride Entertainment feature film Nothing’s For Free delves into the dark side of what athletes give up for the sport. Now, the movie will be available to purchase on iTunes and Apple TV+.

Nothing’s for Free premiered at Crankworx Whistler last summer and documents the lives of freeride athletes from Josh Bender to Brage Vestavik. Rather than glorify the send, the film explores the price these athletes pay to be at the top of their sport. Watch the trailer below.

Brage Vestavik included a shot of the wildest part of the movie in his promotion, the Jah Drop. In the film, Brage hit the enormous drop in Kamloops that Bender had built decades earlier.

Even with modern suspension and geometry, the enormity of the drop blew Brage’s feet off the pedals even though he rode out of it. Read more about Vestavik’s massive send below.

In a sport that glorifies the send without always stopping to consider the price of failure, Nothing’s For Free is a great piece of film that implores the viewer to think about the hidden costs of being good at mountain biking.
