Free tapings from Black Pumas, Gary Clark Jr. on tap for 50th 'Austin City Limits' season

'Austin City Limits' launched in October of 1974 with an episode featuring Willie Nelson. Fifty years later it is the longest running music television show in history. The show that went on to spawn a namesake festival, radio station and music venue will be celebrating its gold anniversary all year long. 'ACL' producers just announced the first four tapings for its 50th season.

Who will film 'Austin City Limits' tapings?

Austin's Black Pumas will tape an episode on Feb. 20. Juanes, who will be in town for the new Besame Mucho festival, tapes an episode on March 4. Gary Clark Jr. tapes on March 26, and Brittany Howard on April 29.

When will the episodes air? Where can I watch 'Austin City Limits'?

The episodes will air sometime in the fall. 'Austin City Limits' airs on Austin's Public Broadcasting Station KLRU-TV and select PBS affiliate stations around the country.

Where is 'Austin City Limits' taped? How do I get free tickets to an 'ACL' taping?

'Austin City Limits' is taped at its namesake venue ACL Live at 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. in Downtown Austin. Show producers will post information on how to get free passes to a show on its social media pages a week before each show. Members of the general public will have the opportunity to enter a lottery for tickets. More information.
