Free outdoor film festival returns to NYC parks

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Films on the Green, a free outdoor French film festival, will return to parks in Manhattan and Brooklyn this summer.

Villa Albetine’s film festival promises 11 French films that will “celebrate the thrill, competition, and triumph of sports.”

Things To Do Around NYC

The festival begins on May 31 with the film “Sink or Swim (Le Grand Bain)” at Cedar Hill in Central Park. Each film will have English subtitles and begin at sunset, organizers shared.

“Experience the resilience of real-life soccer legends Marinette Pichon and Salif Keïta Traoré, or dive into the high-stakes world of championship tournaments like Roland-Garros and the Tour de France,” organizers shared.

The festival will end on Sept. 6 with “Racetime (La Course des Tuques)” at Monsignor McGolrick Park in Brooklyn.
